Role: Creative Director & Senior Copywriter
Location: New York City, NY

The Problem:
IPG is one of the largest holding agencies in the world, with + 23,000 employees in the US alone. However, internal surveys showed that we were losing Black professionals from the workforce at a high rate, middle management was missing Black talent and there was a strong desire from Black employees to obtain skills in order to stay ahead of the curve of our rapidly evolving advertising landscape.

As founders of BAM, Momentum’s first ERG for black employees, we asked ourselves: How can we spotlight black talent across IPG while cultivating a sense of community, career guidance, and safety?

The Concept: Impact Day
We created Impact Day, the first ever event bringing all Black ERGs across IPG together to build community and provide a shared sense of visibility, impact, and upward mobility industry-wide. We partnered with leaders from 10 different IPG agencies and IPG Leadership to bring this event to life in NYC where we had hundreds of attendees across 50 organizations attend in person and virtually. We hosted a number of panels featuring prominent C-suite creatives, held workshops to provide career guidance and even
generated business leads for Momentum Worldwide.
